EV Charger Installation in Alpharetta & North Atlanta
Charging your electric vehicle at home should be simple, safe and fast. LaFlamme Electric installs Level 2 home EV chargers throughout Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Cumming and metro Atlanta. Every installation is done by licensed electricians and built to code.
Did we wire your home? Your charger circuit may already be waiting
LaFlamme Electric wires new homes for many of Atlanta’s leading builders. If we wired your home in the past two years, you most likely already have a 50-amp EV charging circuit installed and ready. In many cases, all that’s left is mounting your charger and connecting it. That saves time and money compared with running a new circuit.
Not sure whether your home has one? Call us with your address and builder’s name, and we’ll help you find out.
Chargers we install
We install and connect all major Level 2 home charger brands, including:
- Tesla Wall Connector (and the Universal Wall Connector)
- ChargePoint Home Flex
- Emporia Level 2 EV Charger
- Grizzl-E
- Wallbox Pulsar Plus
- Enel X Way JuiceBox
- Autel MaxiCharger
- Ford Charge Station Pro and other automaker-branded chargers
Haven’t chosen a charger yet? We can recommend one based on your vehicle, your panel’s capacity and how far you drive each day.
Level 2 charging: why it’s worth it
A standard 120-volt outlet (Level 1) adds only a few miles of range per hour. A properly installed 240-volt Level 2 charger can fully charge most EVs overnight, so you start every morning with a full battery.
What our installation includes
- A check of your electrical panel’s capacity and the load your home already uses
- A properly sized breaker, wire and circuit for your charger
- Hardwired or NEMA 14-50 outlet installation
- Clean, code-compliant wiring, indoors or out
- Permits and inspections where required
- Testing and startup of your charger
If your panel is near capacity, we’ll explain your options, including load-management settings or a panel upgrade.
Electrical work is not a hobby
An EV charger draws a heavy, continuous load for hours at a time, often every night. A wrong wire size, a loose connection or the wrong breaker can overheat, melt insulation and start a fire inside your walls. Mistakes can also damage your vehicle, void your charger’s warranty, cause problems with insurance claims and fail inspection. Worst of all, 240-volt circuits can cause serious injury or death.
This is not a job for a handyman or a weekend DIY project. In Georgia, electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrical contractor. Protect your home, your family and your investment by hiring licensed professionals.

Frequently asked questions
How much does EV charger installation cost?
It depends on your panel, the distance from the panel to your garage, and whether a circuit is already in place. Homes we’ve wired recently with a pre-installed 50-amp circuit are often the simplest and most affordable installs. Call for a quote.
Do I need a 50-amp circuit?
Most Level 2 chargers run best on a 40- to 60-amp circuit. We’ll match the circuit to your charger and vehicle.
Will I need a panel upgrade?
Not always. We’ll calculate your home’s electrical load first. Many homes can add a charger without an upgrade, especially if the charger’s output is set to match the circuit.
Can you install a charger outdoors?
Yes. We use weather-rated equipment and wiring for driveway and exterior installs.
Do you serve my area?
We serve Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Cumming, Sandy Springs, Duluth and the greater Atlanta area.
